Supporting Busy Families
Leehurst Swan wraparound care from 7:30 to 18:00 is included in the fees, to support busy families and provide pupils with a safe, happy and engaging start and end to the school day. Whether your child joins us before school, stays after lessons or takes part in our wide range of clubs and activities, our flexible provision is designed to fit around family life. Select your child’s phase below to find out more about the wraparound care available at each stage of their school journey.
Wraparound Care for each Phase
Breakfast Club is available from 07:30. A breakfast can be booked in advance for a small additional charge.
At the end of the school day, children may attend supervised Club Time and After-School Care, where they can enjoy organised activities, complete homework or simply relax and play with friends.
After-school clubs: 15:40 – 16:30/16:45 (some externally run clubs carry an additional charge).
After-School Care: 15:40 – 18:00 (included within school fees).
Breakfast Club is available from 07:30. A breakfast can be booked in advance for a small additional charge.
At the end of the school day, children may attend supervised Club Time and After-School Care, where they can enjoy organised activities, complete homework or simply relax and play with friends. A light snack is provided.
After-school clubs: 16:00 – 16.30/16:45
- Our programme of clubs changes throughout the year and offers opportunities in sport, music, drama, creative arts, technology and many other interests. Some externally provided activities may incur an additional charge.
Study Plus: From 16:00 to 16:30/16:45
- Pupils can complete homework in a quiet, supervised environment.
After-School Care: 16:00 until 18:00
- This is included within school fees. Pupils are cared for in a relaxed environment where they can socialise, play games, read, complete homework. or simply unwind after the school day.

- Homework Club runs every weekday from 16:00 to 18:00, providing a quiet, supervised space for pupils to complete homework, revise or seek help. Many subject teachers also offer after-school revision and support sessions, particularly in preparation for GCSE examinations.

FAQs
Will my child have something to eat?
Yes. Children are offered a light, age-appropriate snack during wraparound care to keep them comfortable and settled.
Can my child bring their own snack?
Of course. Many families prefer to send a small snack from home, and this is absolutely fine.
What if my child has allergies or dietary needs?
We take dietary requirements seriously. Allergies and individual needs are managed carefully by staff who know the children well.
Who looks after the children?
Wraparound care is supervised by experienced members of the Leehurst staff team, providing continuity and familiar faces.
Is the care suitable for different ages?
Yes. Our approach is age-appropriate, from nurturing care for our youngest pupils to quiet independence for older children.
What do children actually do?
That depends on their age and energy levels — some choose to play or socialise, others to read or complete prep in a calm environment.
Do we have to use wraparound care every day? No. Many families use wraparound care flexibly, depending on work patterns and family life.
Does it need to be booked in advance? Yes, advance booking helps us ensure the right staffing and a smooth experience for children.
What are the hours? Wraparound care runs from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday during term time.
