At Leehurst Swan, we believe that education should inspire curiosity, confidence and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Children learn best when they feel happy, motivated and known as individuals — which is why we create an environment where every pupil feels valued and supported, and where learning is genuinely engaging and enjoyable.
Challenge is central to our approach. We encourage pupils to stretch themselves, discover what they can achieve and take pride in their progress. Our teachers understand that all children can learn and flourish when they are nurtured, encouraged and given opportunities to explore their strengths.
We place a strong emphasis on developing emotional literacy and self-awareness, helping pupils to understand how they learn, how to manage challenges and how to build positive relationships. These skills form an important foundation not only for academic success but also for personal confidence and wellbeing.
Our curriculum is broad, balanced and designed to spark interest. It encompasses everything pupils experience during their time with us — from structured academic lessons to a rich programme of extra-curricular clubs, trips and activities. Equally important is the “hidden curriculum”: the values, expectations and respectful culture that pupils absorb through daily life at school.
Above all, our aim is to help children grow into confident, responsible and compassionate young people who work well with others, embrace new experiences and achieve their full potential.

We pride ourselves on the high standard of pastoral care we provide. Our pupils develop into confident, independent young people who share our values of respect for others. The school encourages involvement in community service and the pupils participate in various fund-raising activities to help others less fortunate than themselves. We support local charities such as the Trussell Trust.
