The Friends of Leehurst Swan (FOLS) is our parent community group, bringing families together and supporting school life beyond the classroom. Made up of parents and carers from across the school, FOLS plays an important role in strengthening connections within the Leehurst Swan community.

Throughout the year, FOLS organises a range of social and fundraising events. Funds raised are fed directly back into Leehurst Swan School, helping to support projects and activities that benefit pupils across the school. Alongside this, FOLS also runs the popular weekly second-hand uniform shop.

2nd Hand Uniform Shop

The weekly second-hand uniform shop is a valued part of school life at Leehurst Swan School, offering parents an affordable and sustainable way to buy and pass on uniform items in good condition. It helps families reduce costs, makes it easy to replace outgrown items, and supports a more environmentally friendly approach to school uniform. The shop is run entirely by a dedicated team of parent volunteers, whose time, organisation and goodwill make it possible. Their efforts are greatly appreciated and provide a practical benefit to families across the school community.

Events

In November 2025, parents hosted Leehurst Swan’s first-ever fireworks evening, which was a huge success. With an excellent turnout from both the school and the wider local community, the event created a wonderful atmosphere, raised significant funds for the school, and helped raise Leehurst Swan’s profile locally. With food, drinks and toys on sale, it was a memorable evening that truly brought the school community together.

  • Summer fete refreshments (June)
  • Parent coffee mornings (1 per term)
  • Movie nights/ quiz nights/ parents' ball (ad hoc)

Communications

Communication is kept friendly and accessible. FOLS shares updates and information via its Facebook page and through year group WhatsApp communications, helping parents stay informed and involved in upcoming events and opportunities to help. The Facebook page is FoLS on Facebook
