P R O M 2025!
What an amazing evening our Year 11’s had at their Prom on Tuesday evening. It was a night filled with fun, laughter, food and dancing to Mr Maddison’s fantastic band! An evening I’m sure many of the children will never forget. See you at Prize Giving in a few weeks for your final school event Year 11!

Leehurst Swan shines yet again.

We are delighted that we have been ranked 11th in the Sunday Times Parent Power League Table in the best Independent School with no Sixth Form!

This amazing achievement reflects the passion, dedication, and hard work of our students, staff, and families -we couldn’t be prouder! Let’s keep aiming higher!

A Midsummers Night Dream- Performed Outside!

In their Drama lesson this week, Year 6 had fun performing scenes from Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. They performed the comedic scene where Titania (who has had a spell put on her to fall in love with the first person she sees when she awakes) wakes up and falls in love with Bottom (who now has the head of a donkey thanks to the work of mischievous Puck). They relished the chance to perform outside. Well done, Year 6!

Mr Marriott

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Clive Marriott as Interim Headmaster, following the retirement of Mandy Bateman. Mr Marriott, who brings 25 years of school leadership experience within the independent sector, including a decade spent in Salisbury, is deeply familiar with the local educational landscape and is committed to continuing the school’s tradition of excellence.
In his new role, Mr Marriott will focus on maintaining the school’s renowned academic and pastoral traditions, with a particular emphasis on enhancing the school’s wraparound care and extracurricular offerings. He recognises that a well-rounded education fosters holistic development, encourages a growth mindset, and provides opportunities to strengthen interpersonal and soft skills.
“As I step into this role, I do so with a deep sense of humility and responsibility,” Mr. Marriott stated. “Leehurst Swan has always been a school that values excellence in all areas of education, both in the classroom and beyond. I fully intend to embrace the many strengths that define this school and work strategically to ensure that we continue to offer a first-class education that prepares our students not just for exams, but for life.”

Results Success

We are thrilled to announce another year of outstanding GCSE results, with pupils demonstrating exceptional academic achievements across all subjects.
This year’s results are a testament to the resilience and adaptability of our pupils, who have navigated their studies during a time of unprecedented challenges. Despite these hurdles, their grades have again out-performed national averages, with 95% achieving grade 4 and above, and 44% achieving the top marks of grade 7 or above. There is plenty of individual success with superb top grades along with some pupils who have found academic work more of a challenge gaining excellent results.
Our new Interim Headmaster of Leehurst Swan, Clive Marriott, praised the pupils’ achievements, stating, “We are absolutely delighted and enormously proud of the individual achievements of each pupil. These results are a testament to their hard work, dedication and resilience, as well as the unwavering support and commitment of our exceptional teaching staff. I look forward to seeing our pupils continue to thrive in the next stages of their educational journeys.”
Deputy Headteacher, Bridget Wright, commented, “These results enable Leehurst students to choose their next steps with confidence. We believe uniqueness matters: as a school we encourage all pupils to find their voice; to explore and develop their passions and potential; preparing them to be adaptable to an ever-changing world. Keeping the doors of possibility open gives them the springboard they need to succeed and make the most of life’s opportunities. It is lovely to see so many happy, smiling and excited faces here today!”
As pupils now look forward to the next steps in their educational careers, whether they are continuing their education in Salisbury or pursuing opportunities elsewhere, the school remains committed to supporting them in their future endeavors and wishes them the best of luck for the future.

Senior Sports Day 2024

The weather didn’t play ball on Friday (no pun intended) and the formal aspect of Senior Sports day at Rack Close was unfortunately rained off.
However, in a break in the rain, the Senior pupils did make it out to the field in the afternoon to take part in their track events.
There was a wonderful atmosphere, with the children really cheering each other on and congratulating each other on their achievements.

Prep Sports Day 2024

Prep Sports Day was an absolute blast! Oak house took the overall win, but every child gave the races their all. Thank you to the family members and friends who joined us to spectate. It made the afternoon really special.

A night to remember

We had a wonderful evening for the Year 11 Prom at The Bridge Inn.
Everyone looked fantastic and it was lovely to have everyone together to celebrate.
The food (particularly the dessert platters) was great, and towards the end of the evening there were some hilarious photos taken in the photo booth.
We look forward to this cohort coming together one final time at Prize Giving on 11th July.

Moors Valley Prep Fun!

Today, the whole Prep School has travelled to Moors Valley for a day of fun! Here is our Swans class, who have enjoyed playing on the play structures and being treated to an ice lolly!
