Year 7 & 8 enjoyed a blustery day at Kew Gardens on Monday. In the Palm House, they learnt about the value of tropical rainforests and why they need protecting.
In the Princess of Wales Conservatory pupils saw how plants adapt to the hot, dry conditions of the desert and the adaptions plants make to the climate of rainforests. The pupils especially enjoyed sketching their favourite plants.
The magic of Kew was brought alive by the Christmas lights which were just starting to come on as they headed back to school in the twilight. It was a super day out!
