How To Apply

We welcome applications at many different entry points across the Prep and Senior School, from aged four up to sixteen.

At Leehurst Swan, we have the highest aspirations for all of our pupils to 'Find their Voice' within a community that promotes the importance of shared values, as we seek to encourage a real enthusiasm for learning and a spirit of enquiry.

Leehurst Swan is a happy, vibrant and forward-looking school. Academic achievement is highly valued and the pursuit of excellence in other fields is central to our school's commitment to provide the very best all-round education. At the core of a Leehurst Swan education is our belief that every individual has talents to be discovered and nurtured, and that our challenge is to develop these while preparing our pupils for their future beyond school.

Whatever age your child is, applying for a place at a new school can sometimes be a daunting experience.  We aim to make the process from initial enquiry through to the very first day at school as simple, transparent and stress free as possible - in fact, more than that, we strive to make it an exciting time for everyone.

Applications for Entry into the Prep School

The aim of selecting children to join our prep school is to ensure that all pupils are able to cope in a class situation without individual teacher support. There may be children for whom additional support becomes necessary (dyslexics, for example) and this will be arranged with the agreement of the parents.

Children will be invited to spend a day in school during which time they will be assessed in reading, writing and numeracy skills.

Please email Genevieve Middleton on registrar@leehurstswan.org.uk for a registration form.

Applications for Entry into the Senior School

Acceptance for entry into our senior school is dependent upon performance in the entrance examination, a report from the candidate’s previous school and an interview.

Parents wishing their children to be considered for entry should complete a registration form and return it, together with the registration fee of £100.

The entrance examination consists of a mathematics and English paper.

All candidates will be called for interview within two weeks of the examination.

Please email Genevieve Middleton on registrar@leehurstswan.org.uk for a registration form.
