Independent Co-Educational Day School
Leehurst Swan believes in the value of a holistic education which allows for the blossoming of a myriad of talents and, in this light, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities together with exciting trips abroad which educate and expand horizons.
So whether it’s the excitement of a rugby team, the stamina of cross country running, the skilful kicking of a football, being part of an agile netball team or playing tennis, we offer the full range of sporting activities. Pupils not only learn valuable team skills, but are also provided with many leadership opportunities.
For those with a more artistic nature, we have a thriving art and photography department where pupils compete successfully at local and national level. For thespians there is a drama club and bi-annual stage productions and for those who enjoy speaking out there is a successful public speaking and debating team. For budding authors there is a creative writing club and musical talents are nurtured and extended in the senior orchestra and choir. A variety of lunchtime clubs offer activities ranging from languages, science, maths, ICT, self-defence and more. Every pupil is encouraged to participate in as many activities as possible and in this way develop their talents to the full. We also have a range of field trips and visiting speakers.
Our academic year is filled with exciting trips and we have travelled to the United States, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and The Netherlands to name but a few. We believe in taking learning outside of the classroom and bringing it alive for our pupils as well as building happy memories for pupils to look back on in future years.
