At Leehurst Swan we have the highest aspirations for all our pupils, with excellent GCSE examination results.  This is accomplished not by being highly selective, but by nurturing the individual qualities of every pupil and by providing an environment in which personal achievement and success are normal.

Pupils are motivated, inspired and challenged across the curriculum, in all subjects. There are a wide range of subjects offered allowing linguistic, creative and scientific development.  A careers programme and personal and social education complements the academic studies, to widen pupils’ views and understanding of contemporary issues, whilst preparing our students for their future beyond school.

With small classes, pupils receive the personal attention of enthusiastic, specialist and highly qualified staff who take the time to explain and encourage pupils to achieve their best.

As pupils grow out of childhood into their teenage years, they are encouraged to regard their form tutor and teachers as people they can talk to and confide in.

By the age of sixteen, our pupils are confident, well-rounded young people, able to think independently and be ready for the challenges of sixth-form, further education and the modern world.

We are committed to co-education in which both sexes learn equally well, learn from each other and are fully prepared for life beyond school.

"Leehurst Swan is simply an excellent school, and just below the surface you'll also discover, as we did, an engaging philosophy of development that's proven to be extremely effective. Thank you."- Senior Parent
