As from the end of this academic year (July 2017) John Lewis will no longer supply the school uniform for Leehurst Swan.
We are very pleased to announce that DJ Uniforms – a well-established on-line supplier of school uniforms to many independent schools – has been appointed as Leehurst Swan school uniform provider. DJ Uniforms will also offer a personalised service in their pop up shop towards the end of the summer term.
We have also taken the opportunity to simplify the uniform requirements in a few areas. This is either to reduce cost to parents, to ensure that the quality of the uniform is maintained, or both. Most items are identical and come from the same suppliers.
The main changes to alert you to are:
Seniors boys will no longer be required to wear a striped, short sleeved shirt in summer – to be replaced by a plain white short sleeved shirt.
All blazers will be supplied with the school badge embroidered onto the pocket – no sewing required.
All caps for Prep pupils will also have the school badge embroidered on them.
The winter wool kilt is being replaced by an all year round kilt that is a new design and has slightly different colours. Parents will find that this new kilt is washable and it will be used by the Senior girls all year round, thus making it more affordable (taking away the need to buy a separate summer skirt).
The Pre-Prep uniform will change to the burgundy shade used by the main school. An introduction of a waterproof all-in-one will also be added to the school range.
All existing items of clothing sold by John Lewis will continue to be official school wear for a further year i.e. from September 2017 to September 2018. Thereafter, the changes above will be mandatory.
