Senior Reading Lists

Students should be preparing for the rigour of their GCSE studies by reading as wide a variety of texts as possible; as part of their daily routine.

The texts covered for IGCSE English and English literature are both challenging and varied.  Course material in other GCSE subjects is also more sophisticated and marks for spelling, punctuation and grammar are no longer confined to English examinations and are awarded in subjects with a written component.

To help pupils develop their English skills, we encourage them to read books from the following lists:
