Bru Baker Reports...
U16 Rugby v Appleford School, Thurday 1 February 2018
It was turning cold, the sun was disappearing fast but there was no rain. The pitch was long-grassed and firm; perfect rugby conditions.
The start was tactical. Both teams 'sizing' each other up looking for weaknesses. Leehurst Swan had none.
There was hard tackling, good rucks and mauls, and the offload to the quick running pair of Jack and James had to be seen to be believed.
Trey, Ryan, Tom, and Team Captain Archie put themselves all over the field, with big tackles and outstanding passing, supporting all the time. Hooker Hamish burrowed in and around the opposition, wriggling so they just could not hold him, allowing the sprinters James and Jack to fly to the try line.
9 tries to 3. It tells it own story.
Outstanding display of rugby. Well done!Go back
