Salisbury Museum and the Great Fire of London

29-01-2020

Year 2 visited Salisbury Museum as part of their study of the Great Fire of London.  Pupils looked at a model of the old Guildhall, which was built of wood and caught fire and burnt down.

In the King's Room, our children dressed up as the historical characters in a story which told the tale of the Great Fire. As pupils were performing the story, the museum fire alarm went off and we all had to leave the building!

We had a great morning and discovered some interesting facts about the Great Fire of London.

Thank you to Owain and Salisbury Museum for a fun and educational day!
