Introducing Our Super New Prefect Team

26-03-2020

Last week, interviews were held for Year 10 pupils who applied for the roles of Heads, Deputies, Sports Captains and Prefects for the remainder of this academic year and next.

Applicants for the role of Head Boy and Head Girl went through a formal interview process where pupils answered questions thoughtfully and creatively, showing the need to provide a lead in the school and to look out for others. Their attitudes reflected their friendly and engaging personalities.  Nominations from the staff were taken into account as well as pupils’ willingness to serve the school over the next year.

We would have been proud to have any one of the candidates as our Head Boy and Head Girl, however, we decided on Tom and Lucy. Their roles commence immediately and we thank Max and Immy (Year 11) for their outstanding efforts.

Tom and Lucy will represent Leehurst Swan with visitors and governors; take part in school events and services at Salisbury Cathedral; speak at Open Mornings; act as role models and promote Leehurst Swan by encouraging everyone to feel part of the school community. They will chair the senior school council and provide suggestions to the Headmaster. Pupils can talk to them to seek help when they need it or discuss issues with them; Tom and Lucy will do their best to point them in the right direction.

Tom and Lucy will be supported by two deputies, Tom and Hattie.  Our new Sports Captains are Matt and Poppy. They are a super group of pupils and will undoubtedly form a very strong team. We look forward to seeing them represent the school at many events and on a day-to-day basis as an integral and important aspect of our community.

The full prefect team is listed in the Parents section of our webite.
