We are delighted to welcome Mrs González to Leehurst Swan as our Spanish teacher.  Mrs González is full of energy and already has a good rapport with pupils.

Devora (pronounced 'Deborah') González was born in Gran Canaria where she completed a degree in English Language and Linguistic Studies. Mrs González has been living in the UK for about 20 years, teaching Spanish in secondary and primary schools. She is passionate about teaching her mother tongue language and her culture and loves passing on this passion to students.

Mrs González is a keen sportswoman and really likes the outdoors and the English countryside. At the moment she is enjoying playing table tennis and in the summer time, weather permitting, she tries to get out for a ride on her motorbike at weekends.

Mrs González said: 'It is very refreshing to work in a school like Leehurst Swan where everyone is friendly and helpful and students are aware of the importance of learning languages. From day one, you are made to feel part of this big family that is Leehurst Swan.'
