Independent Co-Educational Day School
Congratulations to Archie whose work is 'highly commended' in the Year 9-10 category of the IAPS iArt competition. Archie’s dreaming of summer artwork is a collage made from hand painted papers based on the landscape of the Lake District where he hopes to holiday with his family this summer.
Archie’s work was one of 168 pieces entered from 62 participating schools. The artwork represents summer dreams amidst a year of high-quality entries depicting children’s experiences of lockdown, family members and inspiration from online lessons
Archie will receive Amazon vouchers for his efforts, as well as recognition in the iArt 2021 brochure alongside the other 27 finalists. Archie said: “I have created a place I would like to visit this summer when the lockdowns have finished and we are free to explore the outside.”
Christopher King, Chief Executive Officer of IAPS, said: “Each year we are blown away by the quality of entries we receive, and this year was no exception. The artwork received opened our eyes to the student’s experiences over the past year and it was truly inspirational. The competition is a brilliant way to recognise the creativity and innovation our students have, and to emphasise the value that we place on these skills. My warmest congratulations and huge thanks to every student that participated.”Go back
