Join the Team
We are looking for talented, committed people to join our Governing Body and help shape the future of our school. If you’re someone who enjoys strategic thinking, problem-solving and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes, this is an opportunity to use your experience for genuine community impact.
Why become a governor?
Being a governor is an inspiring and rewarding way to apply your professional skills — whether in finance, education, HR, safeguarding, law, project management, marketing, estates, or organisational leadership — to a meaningful cause. You will help guide the school’s strategic direction, support high standards of education and wellbeing, and ensure strong governance that enables pupils to thrive.
What we’re looking for
We welcome interest from people who are:
- Thoughtful, objective decision-makers
- Comfortable analysing information and asking constructive questions
- Skilled in areas such as finance, HR, legal compliance, education, safeguarding, marketing, or property/estates
- Keen to contribute to a purposeful team
- Motivated by helping children and young people achieve their potential
No previous governance experience is required — full induction, training, and ongoing support are provided.
What you’ll gain
- The satisfaction of helping shape a school’s long-term success
- A chance to broaden your own leadership skills and strategic experience
- Training and professional development
- The opportunity to work with a passionate, supportive team
What’s involved
Governors attend a small number of meetings each term, visit the school to understand its work and culture, and support key areas of responsibility. The role is voluntary but highly valued — governors play a vital part in ensuring schools remain successful, safe, and well-run.
Interested? We’d love to hear from you
