Senior pupils put on stage production of Smithy the Musical

Leehurst Swan Senior Pupils have been busy putting on a school production of Smithy.   Smithy is a musical about a school play – a riotous parody of a school preparing to perform Romeo and Juliet.  The youthful drama teacher, Miss Byrde is fresh out of college and Smithy is the school villain.  She has had four years of trianing, wheras he has had a least ten.  Blended with the love pains of Smithy, competition for places in the play and several accidents – the scene is set!!.

This was held at the Studio Theatre on three nights and was a tribute to the wide range of skills and talents of the Cast Leehurst Swan pupils involved. Combining humour and music it was a most enjoyable evening of entertainment. As usual some pupils shone on the stage and lively characters made the production memorable.
