Salisbury High played very well and were more hungry for the ball.  The final score was 8-6 to Leehurst Swan.

Year 9 v Trafalgar School

This was a fast game and Trafalgar school were excellent at scoring and passing.  We had many good interceptions leading to 2 goals at half time.  By the end of the match we had scored another 2 goals.  Unfortunately Trafalgar school was the strongest.  The final score was 11 - 4 to Trafalgar.

In the second half with a score of 2 - 0 they become more confident and evened the score.  Leehurst boys kept up the pressure and after many unlucky chances with the ball hitting the post on two occasions we finally scored the winning goal to finish 3 - 2 to Leehurst Swan.

Each team had to compete against runners from 9 other local schools.  The Yr 7 and 8 boys and girls managed to field at least 4 runners so keeping up our team chances.  All had to run against 40 other runners.

Each of the Leehurst Swan runners has steadily gained in confidence with each competition and all are steadily improving their positions from their initial race position.  The minor boys’ team managed to come third.

Leehurst Swan raised £250 for Children In Need by holding a Charity Football Match and a Cake Sale. The Year 11 put on the football match with a red and yellow theme. Pupils paid 50p to watch the game.
