Extra Curricular

Pupils at Leehurst Swan are offered a range of additional experience which enriches the curriculum and provide opportunities for personal and social development.
As well as field-work trips, speakers and writers are regularly invited into the school. Lunchtime and after school clubs enable pupils to pursue an artistic or sporting interest.
School trips range near and wide and educational trips abroad are a regular feature of school life. There are History trips to Berlin and World War I Battlefields (Somme); Art, Photography and Language trips to France, Germany and Spain, Sports tours to Holland and Italy and Skiing trips to Europe.

Supervision before and after School

Pupils can arrive at school any time after 8.00am. There is no charge for this facility. There is After School Study for pupils in the Senior School that runs until 5 pm each day supervised by the teaching staff for which there is no charge.

Caring

We pride ourselves on the high standard of pastoral care we provide. We want our pupils to develop into confident, independent young people who share our Christian values of respect and care for the individual and awareness of the needs of others. The school encourages involvement in community service and the pupils participate in various fund-raising activities to help others less fortunate than ourselves.
Our values are summarised in the School motto:
‘Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est’.
‘Where there is charity and love you will find God’.
