New Eco Committee formed

Pupils from Year 1 to Year 11 have formed the new Eco Committee  to promote “green” awareness at Leehurst Swan assisted by some staff.  Already the pupils have come up with ideas to improve recycling and minimise litter. They are also keen to help wildlife and new nesting boxes and bird feeders have been purchased for the school grounds.  In addition they are hoping  to establish a wildlife pond and to enlarge the popular allotment area used by Gardening Club.

Pupils were chosen by their year groups and have been keen to encourage others to help the school achieved various awards and then the “Green Flag” eventually.
